Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractic adjustments are hands-on manual techniques that apply controlled forces to a joint to influence joint motion. A gentle adjustment may be selected when your assessment identifies reduced, painful, or otherwise limited movement that may be contributing to your symptoms or affecting how you move.

Evidence suggests that spinal manipulation can improve pain and function for some people with low-back and neck pain, although the certainty of evidence varies by condition and outcome.

At Full Circle, adjustments are not a stand-alone solution. They are integrated with movement assessment, soft tissue therapy, and exercise when appropriate, using the combination of tools that best fits your presentation, goals, and response to care.

What does the research say?

Spinal manipulation is one of several tools that can be used to help improve pain and function. Research supports its use for certain musculoskeletal conditions, including low-back and neck pain, with evidence suggesting that some people experience improvements in pain and physical function.

The strongest approach is often not one tool, but the right combination of tools. Current guidelines support using spinal manipulation alongside other appropriate interventions, such as exercise, education, and other hands-on care, when appropriate for the individual.

At Full Circle, an adjustment is part of a bigger clinical picture. We combine hands-on care with movement assessment, soft tissue therapy, and progressive exercise when appropriate, so the goal isn't simply to make something feel better today, but to help you move better and build the capacity to do more of what matters to you.
